Rabbits don't just eat carrots , even though that's what many think. In the wild , rabbits diets consist hay and grass because it's most available at times. They may also like plants such as chickweed and clovers. When rabbits want a special treat they go sneak into gardens. When they do this they'll feast on apples , pears , and tomatoes. If they're lucky they might get away with a couple bits of melon here and there. On a more healthy day rabbits may sneak into your precious vegetable garden and enjoy some veggies. Celery , kale , snow peas are a delightful Snack for the rabbit. A few nibbles of cabbage and turnip wouldn't hurt either. On a very lucky day the rabbit will find himself or herself dining on bright orange carrots or beans (carrots are their least favorite...... Can you believe it? ) A special treat can also be reeds.
